I’D LIKE TO THANK AUBREY SHELTON WHO IS THE HEAD COACH FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF PUGET SOUND LOGGERS IN TACOMA, WASHINGTON IN THE NWC IN NCAA DIII FOR SHARING HIS THOUGHTS ON THE 2021-22 CAMPAIGN WITH THE CANNON NETWORK. WE HAVE GREAT RETURNERS LED BY ALL-REGION BIG CAL HANSEN AND RETURNING STARTERS PAUL JOHNSON (SCORING GUARD AND ONE OF BEST SHOOTERS IN THE CONFERENCE), GRANT ERICKSON (HARD NOSED 6’6″ GLUE GUY), MUSSIE TECLEMARIAM (6’7″ VERSATILE FORWARD), AND DONOVAN WILSON (TOUGH GUARD). OUR FRESHMEN CLASS IS GOING TO BE IMPACTFUL RIGHT AWAY. THEY ARE 6’4″ SG LIAM RUTTLEDGE FROM JESUIT IN PORTLAND, WILL POHLAND, A COMBO GUARD FROM KING’S HS IN WA, CHARLIE DEBOER A 6’6″ GUARD FROM BOISE, AND TAJ PHILLIPS A PG FROM BISHOP O’DOWD IN THE
BAY AREA. ALL FOUR WILL COMPETE FOR MINUTES RIGHT AWAY. WE ARE DEEP AND BALANCED WITH LENGTH AND SHOOTING ABILITY AND ENTERING YEAR FOUR FOR ME THIS IS THE MOST BOUGHT IN AND COMMITTED TEAM WE’VE HAD. WE ARE CONFIDENT WE WILL MAKE SOME NOISE IN THE NORTHWEST CONFERENCE THIS SEASON. ”
