Dear Vin Scully,

Sports and storytelling go hand in hand as you showed us through your diligent work announcing the Brooklyn/ Los Angeles Dodgers as well as PGA events and NFL games. I am a Los Angeles Lakers fan due to the incredible talents of Kobe Bryant and Shaq as well as the elite storytelling by Chick Hearn. Chick Hearn’s “Chickisms” and the incredible dunks, threes, assists, etc. by the players kept my attention through the whole game. The exciting home runs, stolen bases, incredible catches, etc. and your tremendous storytelling got me to enjoy the game of baseball. In college I managed my college basketball team and also enjoyed following the baseball team at my school. I am now using The Cannon Network and thecannonnetwork.com to share stories from coaches and players in college basketball and other sports. Thank you Vin for giving me joy in following the Dodgers and I am thankful for the great memories you and Chick Hearn provided me so I can be a storyteller in the sports world both now and in the future.
