MIKE DEGEORGE HAS BEEN NAMED THE HEAD MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH FOR THE CAL POLY MUSTANGS IN SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA IN THE BIG WEST CONFERENCE IN NCAA DI FOR THE 2024-25 CAMPAIGN. MIKE PLAYED FOR THE MONMOUTH COLLEGE FIGHTING SCOTS WHEN THEY MADE 2 NCAA DIII TOURNAMENTS. HE WAS AN ASSISTANT COACH FOR THE BELOIT COLLEGE BUCCANEERS. HE WAS AN ASSISTANT COACH FOR LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY VIKINGS. HE WAS THE TOP ASSISTANT COACH FOR GRINNELL COLLEGE PIONEERS. HE WAS THE HEAD COACH FOR CORNELL COLLEGE RAMS WHEN THEY WON 47 GAMES INCLUDING 21 WINS, AN IIAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP, AND AN NCAA DIII TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE IN THE 2009 CAMPAIGN. HE WAS THE HEAD COACH FOR EUREKA COLLEGE RED DEVILS. HE WAS THE HEAD COACH FOR RHODES COLLEGE LYNX WHEN HE HELPED THE TEAM WIN THE SAA REGULAR SEASON AND CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE 2016-17 CAMPAIGN, EARNED THE SAA COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD AND HELPED THE TEAM REACH THE NCAA DIII TOURNAMENT. PRIOR TO BECOMING THE HEAD COACH FOR THE MUSTANGS, HE WAS THE HEAD COACH FOR THE COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY MAVERICKS WHEN HE EARNED 2 RMAC COACH OF THE YEAR AWARDS, LED THE MAVERICKS TO 5 NCAA DII TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES INCLUDING A SWEET 16 APPEARANCE IN THE 2023-24 CAMPAIGN AND AVERAGED 23 WINS PER SEASON.
