I’D LIKE TO THANK PAUL CORSARO WHO IS THE HEAD COACH FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF INDIANAPOLIS GREYHOUNDS IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA IN THE GLVC IN NCAA DII FOR SHARING BOTH ADVICE FOR FUTURE COACHES AND THOUGHTS ON THE 2023-24 CAMPAIGN WITH THE CANNON NETWORK. HE SHARED,
ADVICE FOR YOUNG COACHES:”BE WILLING TO OFFER UP YOUR HELP AND GET INVOLVED IN A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT ASSIGNMENTS TO HELP YOUR PROGRAM. THE MORE EXPOSURE YOU GET TO THE DIFFERENT TASKS THAT COME ALONG IN THE COACHING PROFESSION, THE MORE WELL-ROUNDED YOU WILL BECOME. THE EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY COMPLETE A MULTITUDE OF COACHING RESPONSIBILITIES WILL ALLOW YOU TO ADVANCE IN THIS PROFESSION.”
THOUGHTS ON THE SEASON: “I LIKE OUR GROUP A LOT. WE RETURN SOME REALLY GOOD PLAYERS, AND WE THINK WE SURROUNDED THOSE RETURNERS WITH THE RIGHT NEWCOMERS THAT WE BROUGHT IN DURING THE RECRUITING PROCESS. THAT SAID, IT’S A NEW SEASON AND A COMPLETELY NEW TEAM. PAST YEARS’ SUCCESSES DO NOT MATTER, AND THIS GROUP NEEDS TO COME TOGETHER TO CARVE THIS TEAM’S OWN LEGACY. WE HAVE AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT SCHEDULE AND ARE EXCITED ABOUT WHAT COMES ALONG WITH THAT CHALLENGE.”
